I can't believe that my baby is already 6 weeks old. It seems like just yesterday she was still the bump in my tummy. She is beginning to find her voice. We are graced with such cute coos from her, that I know will only grow in frequency in the coming weeks. It is so neat to hear her voice in another way other than when she is crying!! She is really starting to smile in response to talking and cuddles, too. Her smile truely does melt my heart. She is also beginning to reach out her arms in attempt to grab things. She has not mastered it yet, but she does try! We are still struggling with her wake/sleep schedule. She naps so well during the day, with no rocking or propting form us. And, I often have to wake her from her sleep to feed her during the day. But, the night is a different story. She will rarely settle down to sleep until she is rocked or held for at least 30-45 minutes after feeding. And, she will wake on her own about every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours from the beginning of the last feeding to be fed again. This makes for long frustrating nights for Mommy. We are really going to work on routine and schedule over the next weeks, in hope that we can really get her to realize day and night. I am sure that she will cooperate...I will let you know!
