Pumpkin Patch 2009

Here are some pics from our trip to the Hall's pumpkin Patch in Grapevine in early October. We had a great time looking at all of the pumpkins, big and small, and looking at all of the tractors.

6 Month Photo Shoot

Here are a few of the pictures from Kate's 6 month photo shoot. I am amazed every day at how quickly my baby is growing and changing. These pictures were done by my good friend Melissa. She also did Kate's wonderful newborn pictures. Check out her website at http://www.melissadarstphoto.com/. She does amazing work!

"These are a few of my favorite things!"

I wanted to document some of Kate's favorite things at her 6 month milestone. She is beginning to be so curious about so many things. But, the following are the things that we could not do with out each and every day...

Lamb is the #1 security item. Kate cannot fall asleep without Lamb.
(We now have 3 lambs, in case of misplacement!)

"Banks" runs a close second to Lamb.

"Pass" has been a big help during daycare and for teething pain.

"Pink Cow" is another buddie that resides in the crib.

"Busy Bee" entertains me in the carseat.

We love to be outside watching the trees blow in the wind. It is very soothing when mad.

Kate loves her some Sprouts baby food. Butternut Squash is her favorite!

"Monkey" is another carseat buddie.

Kate loves to watch"Ming-Ming" circle about and sing to her.

Ready...Set...

All we are lacking is the Go...

You want me to eat What?? How??

"Eating Butternut Squash from a spoon is not as great as everyone claims it is!"

Big Sky and Yellowstone, Montana 2009

We took our first family summer vacation in July to Big Sky, Montana and Yellowstone National Park. It was Kate's first everything. First plane ride, first ski lift ride, first Edward Jones trip, etc. We had a wonderful time. And Kate did better than I expected with the traveling and airport layovers. The weather was awesome. It did not get above 60 degrees for the first couple of days we were there. It was actually COLD! It did warm up into the 70's and maybe close to 80 by the end of the week, but it was definately a nice break from the Texas heat. Yellowstone was georgeous, but alot of driving. There was also construction going on in the park while we were there. That slowed us down on several occasions. We saw Old Faithful, wildlife, the hot springs, and lots of pretty land. The Big Sky Resort was about 45 minutes away from Yellowstone, and being a ski resort, was nestled way up in the mountains. It was very very cool to see the mountains without all the snow on them.
